Goaltender steals point for Chiefs
There was a robbery in Strathroy on Sunday afternoon as the Chief goalie (C. Pearen) literally stole a point for his team against the Huron Perth Lakers.  The cops arrived at the scene of the crime, but the perpetrator  had already left the building.

This was a tightly contested game from start to finish.  The Lakers scored first on a short-handed break after the forward blocked a shot at his blueline, he broke in alone and finished off a very nice goal.  The Chiefs tied it shortly after.  D. Wincester with some nice work behind the Laker net, set up R. Humphrey alone in front of the HP net and he made no mistake going "top-shelf".

2 more goals were scored in the second.  The Chiefs scored first, on a wrap-around by M. Philip.  Later in the period the Lakers took advantage of a 2-1 and tied it at 2.

The third period was pretty even, but it was late in the period when Pearen was required to stone the HP shooters on 2 great scoring chances.  If not for his work, this game would not have ended in a tie.
