Major Peewee, 2017-2018 (Elgin-Middlesex Canucks)

The 2005 Major Peewee Chiefs wrapped up a great 2017-2018 season with a win over Hamilton in the Alliance Playoffs.   While a tough loss to London in the Playdowns was difficult to overcome, the Chiefs persevered to finish strong.

The Major Peewee Chiefs topped off a great weekend by winning the Pittsburgh Penguins Elite Mid-Winter Classic.  After defeating Victory Honda 5-1 and Chicago Fury 4-1, the Chiefs were down 5-1 against the Bay State Breakers before battling back to 5-4, but an empty net goal resulted in a 6-4 loss.  The Chiefs bounced back in the semi finals, with a commanding 4-0 victory over Boston Jr. Rangers.   The final game was a battle of Ontario, with the Chiefs facing the Niagara North Stars.  The Chiefs prevailed with a final score of 6-3.  

The Major Peewees enjoyed a great team building day to cap off their first week of practice.  After hopping back on the ice for a mini training cap in Dorchester, it was off to Flagswipe Paintball, followed by Amazing Race Putnam, courtesy of the Steyaerts.  Many thanks to our coaches and all of the parents who put their time and energy into making this a fantastic day for our players...and a special shout out to hosts and organizers Spike and Marcia Steyaert!
