Playoff Champions!
The 2005 Major Peewee Chiefs wrapped up a great 2017-2018 season with a win over Hamilton in the Alliance Playoffs.   While a tough loss to London in the Playdowns was difficult to overcome, the Chiefs persevered to finish strong.

The Major Peewee Chiefs ended the season in third place in the West, just one point behind the London Junior Knights.  In Playdowns the  Chiefs eliminated Lambton and started out strong against London, winning five straight games with a combined goal differential of 32-4.  Unfortunately, London battled back, winning game three. Game four went to the Knights in overtime, and the Knights took the final with a goal in the last 30 seconds of play to win the quarterfinal series.

The Chiefs showed their character and compete as they rebounded in the Playoffs.  They eliminated Windsor and Lambton, and went to win the final playoff series by besting the Hamilton Huskies in four games.

The scoreboard doesn’t begin to tell the whole story.  Overall it was a great year, including our trip to Bowling Green and solid showings in all of our tournaments (including a win in Pittsburgh).  We are very proud of our players and our coaching staff for the way they represented EMC on and off the ice.  Thanks to our head coach Jason Clark, assistant Chris Cowan, and trainer Paul Vandenbrink for all of your hard work putting together challenging practices and running a great bench.  Thanks to Kyle Cowan, aka "Coach Perm" for his on-ice help.  A special shout out to Spike Steyaert for once again chronicling our journey via “Spike TV", and to our timekeepers, Sam and Sam, who came up with some great (and some...interesting) tunes for our playoff run.   Go Chiefs!!
