Canucks U16 Begin Mentorship Program
The Canucks battled back for a 3–3 draw against Biosteel Academy on Sunday, December 7, following a tough loss to Huron Perth on Friday, December 5. The team is pleased to welcome back goaltender Matthew East after his two-month injury absence. Despite allowing two shorthanded goals in the first period, East’s steady presence was instrumental in the team’s comeback effort.
Tyler Burtenshaw, Alex Brereton, and Mason Mizzi supplied the offense, each scoring to complete the rally. The Canucks will face Huron Perth and the Brantford 99ers at home on Saturday, December 13, and Sunday, December 14.
The U16 Canucks begin giving back to the organization by partnering with the U10 AAA Canucks and mentoring the next wave of talent. The players will have a meet-and-greet and look forward to getting on the ice with the young players.
