The Elgin-Middlesex Canucks would like to thank all of the teams for attending the 2025 Alliance Showcase at the Komoka arena. Thanks to the members of the Alliance for putting on a terrific event. Special thanks to all of the OHL and Junior scouts for coming out to identify the Alliance talent.
The Canucks wrapped up a busy weekend with four hard-fought matchups, earning two wins and showcasing strong performances across the lineup.
Game 1: Canucks Fall to Brantford 99ers (6–2 Loss)
The Canucks opened the weekend against one of the Alliance’s top teams, the Brantford 99ers (5-0-1). Despite a determined effort, Brantford’s offense proved too strong. Cole Dailey and Mason Mizzi each scored on the power play to get the Canucks on the board. With the goaltender pulled late in the game, Brantford capitalized twice more to secure the 6–2 result.
Game 2: Canucks Rally to Defeat NOHA Black (5–4 Win)
Game two featured a thrilling comeback victory against the Northern Ontario All-Stars. Trailing 4–2 with just 15 minutes remaining in the third period, the Canucks surged back with three unanswered goals to claim a 5–4 win.
Forward Cooper Cote led the offense with his first career ‘AAA’ hat trick, while Knoxton Scarrow and Isaak Sadikovic each recorded their first ‘AAA’ goals to help complete the comeback.
Game 3: Canucks Dominate Cambridge (7–2 Win)
The Canucks carried their momentum into Saturday’s contest against Cambridge, building a commanding 4–0 lead midway through the second period and cruising to a 7–2 victory.

St. Thomas Stars call-up Charlie Peterson made his Canucks debut, logging 10 minutes of ice time in the win.
Game 4: Canucks Battle Hard in Loss to Huron Perth (5–2)
The weekend concluded with a spirited matchup against the Huron Perth Lakers. Both teams exchanged chances through two periods, but the Lakers took control in the third and added an empty-netter to close out a 5–2 final.
Goaltending Recognition
Goaltender Kaiden Harper stood tall for the Canucks, appearing in all four games and delivering consistent efforts throughout the demanding weekend schedule.
