The Minor Atom Chief’s made history this weekend by being the first Elgin-Middlesex team to win the Minor Atom International Silver Stick Championship!! It was a long and hard battle to win the title. It began with the Peterborough Petes on Thursday night in a game that ended in a 3-3 tie.The next game wasn’t until 5:30 on Friday evening and they found they had an entire day to kill, so what else do you do with 17 nine-year old hockey players? Take the Go-Train to the Hockey Hall of Fame of course!

Kicking off our season with a team BBQ and swim in July, the team forged new friendships and the beginning of a strong bond. Most importantly, they learned the true meaning of TEAM: Together Everyone Achieves More.
