Last Sunday
night in Blenheim, the 2005 Chiefs defeated the Chatham Kent Cyclones by a score of 6-1 to become
the 2016-2017 Alliance Champions!
In a tightly contested series, the Chiefs battled the Cyclones to a 7-3 point lead over five games – with one tie, three wins and a loss, each decided by a single point…and two ending in overtime! Our players came to Blenheim with fire in their bellies, worked as a team and battled hard every minute of the game for a decisive victory in the final.
What a season it has been. We all made some great new friends, mastered some new skills, and even welcomed a new baby to the Chiefs family! Many thanks to our fantastic coaching staff, our generous sponsors, and our enthusiastic and supportive friends and family. A special thank you to our dedicated official videographer… “Spike TV” meant no one ever had to miss a game, and we could relive those highlight reel moments over and over!
