The Road to the Playoffs......
The Chiefs battled their way through Silverstick matched against some top teams. They lost their first three games, against Detroit Compuware, St. Louis Blues, and Vaughan Kings, but managed to take down the Cleveland Jr. Lumberjacks with a 4-2 win. They finished about mid-pack for goals scored in the tournament of 24 teams.
The Chiefs had three remaining regular season games to play following Silverstick. They beat Windsor Jr. Spitfires 4-1 but lost by a point in a close 2-1 match against the Lambton Jr. Sting in Sarnia.
Their final game of the season will be a re-match against the Lambton Jr. Sting, this time on home turf in Komoka. Come out and cheer on the Chiefs as they close out their season in what is expected to be an exciting game. Puck drops this Sunday January 29th at 1:15 p.m.
