Tryouts Complete - Team Selected
The EMC U16AAA coaching staff would like to thank each of the participants for their hard work this week. It is never easy selecting a team and having such great young men left behind. Your dedication, heart and work ethic is appreciated.
We would like to thank the Lambton Jr. Sting and Waterloo Wolves for participating in our exhibition series. Lambton took the first game 3-1 and Elgin was able to win the 2nd game versus Waterloo 5-1. The Canucks will be heading on the road Friday April 25th at 8:00pm in Lambton at the Pat Stapleton Arena and April 27th at 7:30pm in Waterloo at the Rec Centre.
A message from Coach Tyler Fines:
Congratulations to the following players on your selection to the U16AAA Elgin-Middlesex Canucks hockey club. These young men have battled for years with their clubs at the 'AAA' and 'AA' level in an attempt to build something special. The chemistry developed over the past week is unprecedented in my 15 years as a Head Coach. These young men, are already a special group. Players that were hungry to play 'AAA' for the first time, players that were over-looked, players that were willing to sacrifice the easy road, for the grind. The coaching staff is excited for the season and look forward to the challenges ahead. Thank you to all of the players who made the effort to try out for the Canucks. Good luck next season. "It's not about the best team, it's about the RIGHT one."

I would like to welcome Ray Ormerod to the staff as one of our trainer's for the season. Ray is a recently retired (March 31, 2025) Fire Chief with the town of Port Stanley. Ray used to teach the OHF trainer's course and will be a great addition to the staff.
I would like to welcome to the staff Mike Woolley as our Associate Head Coach. Mike brings a wealth of knowledge and is one of the most dedicated individuals to the game of hockey. Mike comes from a strong hockey background and will be an asset to the club.
I would like to thank Jason Hart who will be moving to the Epic Performance Program, helping with the building of the U16 and U18 programs. Jason was an integral part of the staff and development of our players in 2024. Best of luck Jason!
