The coaching staff will make time afterwards to speak to players who were released if they would like a follow up. ***WE ARE LOOKING FOR PLAYERS***. Our staff believes that spots are to be earned and players should have the opportunity to showcase their talent. Goaltenders are welcome to apply.

Before registering, understand that making a 'AAA' level is no easy feat. The coaching staff appreciates each and every effort to attempt to graduate a player's level. We ask that you take a personal, realistic look at your player's abilities and what would be the best fit.

The coaching staff is preaching patience to everyone who plans to attend. There are a number of 'AAA' tryouts throughout the week and it's important to organize your schedule accordingly.

Why the Canucks?

Our 3 core principles we look for in players: Skill, character, relentless compete.

  • Experienced Non-Parent Coaching Staff: Our coaches bring extensive hockey experience at all levels, ensuring unbiased and professional development for every player.

  • Premier Facilities: The Komoka Wellness Centre, the best facility in the Alliance, is our home base. Paired with the new Epic Training Facility, we offer top-tier dressing rooms, meeting spaces, video analysis, and a central location for scouts.

  • HUDL Video Analytics: We provide access to HUDL, a premium service for video review and analytics. Players and parents can create highlight videos, email scouts, and track stats throughout the season.

  • Winning Tradition: The Canucks have a proven history of advancing players to the next level. Our U18 program offers additional practice opportunities for U16 players, ensuring a clear progression path.

  • Elite Resources: Led by coaching mentor Jason Williams (NHL experience), our staff includes top skills coaches like BK Hockey, Paul Gibson Goaltending, and Brian McCallister.

  • Scouting and Media Training: We provide professional scouting packages for OHL and junior scouts at all home games, along with social media presence, interview training, and media preparation to help players transition to the junior level.

  • Commitment to Culture: Our coaching staff fosters an environment where players can thrive. While ice time may not be equal, every player has a role in helping the team succeed.

The coaching staff would like to thank you for your interest in the Elgin-Middlesex Canucks. We look forward to meeting everyone who attends tryouts to build our competitive team.

Good luck!
