Welcome to the U12 (2014) Elgin-Middlesex Canucks Tryouts
Welcome and thank you for attending the upcoming tryouts for the U12 (2014) Elgin-Middlesex Canucks. I’m excited to get started and look forward to seeing the players on the ice this weekend.
The full schedule for the opening sessions will be posted later tonight. Please keep an eye out for it and plan accordingly.
Goalie Schedule: All goaltenders should attend their assigned session—either 2:15 PM or 3:15 PM—as well as the dedicated goalie evaluation session on Saturday at 6:15 PM.
Each player will be assigned a jersey number at the start of tryouts. Please ensure this number is worn for every session to help evaluators and coaching staff properly identify players throughout the weekend.
We will be using a combination of independent evaluators and coaching staff to assess the players. Our goal is to provide a fair, thorough, and consistent evaluation process for everyone involved. If you would like individual feedback following the tryouts, I would be happy to provide it—drawing from both my coaching staff and our independent evaluators. I believe that if your son or daughter has put in the effort to attend and work hard throughout the tryout process, then you deserve to hear where they stand and what they can continue to work on.
