The Major Atom Chiefs have started the season with
fire in their hearts and ice in their veins. This motivated group of 17
athletes have shown dedication and hard work both on and off the ice since they
began their journey together for the 2018 – 2019 season. They are playing with
purpose as a TEAM and are proud to be undefeated in their Pavilion league games
thus far.
In tournament play, these Chiefs have been challenged by some of the top teams in the province and USA! They went undefeated in the Toronto Marlboro’s Friendship tournament but fell just short of advancing to the semi-finals by tie-breaker. In the Canadien’s Cup this past weekend, the team advanced to the elimination games but lost a close game to the eventual champions, Barrie Colts, which they defeated in round robin play.
As they condition their bodies and train their minds, they are preparing for a long and successful season as a TEAM. And what does it mean to be part of a TEAM? Together Everyone Achieves More!
