Hard out of the gates & into the thick of things...
Although the players have various backgrounds and stem from 11 different centers within Elgin Middlesex counties they all have several things in common - impressive skill level for their age, a strong desire to be part of something special and most importantly a rooted passion for doing something they love to do.  These qualities are highly sought after in all facets of life, so it is very refreshing & reassuring to see them so prevalent within this group of 9 year olds.

From the onset, TEAMWORK has been & will remain our primary focus.  It is the foundation of all team sports & overall success is largely determined by a team's ability to work together toward achieving common goals.  Our emphasis is on player development, focusing on individual skill sets while learning new positions, adjusting to team concepts & playing a fast paced, highly competitive game.

It is still early in the season but we are very impressed with the development of our team thus far.  Our 1st tournament of season (London Knights Earlybird) proved to be an excellent venture as we were actively involved in 4 highly competitive games resulting in 3 consecutive ties followed by an unfortunate yet very exciting 5-4 loss to Whitby.  Our 2nd tournament (Detroit Warrior) involved an overnight weekend full of team building sessions both on & off the ice.  We faced some very stiff competition from teams residing on both sides of the boarder.  It was a great experience.

Alliance League play thus far has been comprised of some very exciting, competitive hockey games many of which determined by only 1 or 2 goals.  This has created a competitive environment that provides opportunities for maximum growth for players as individuals & our team as a whole.  Our team (players/coaches, family & friends) have all played significant roles in our early successes & will play an even greater role moving forward into the season.  We view every game as a learning opportunity & feel fortunate to have learned some valuable lessons & gained invaluable experience early in the season.

Based upon the effort & attitude demonstrated thus far, there is no doubt our team will continue to develop & create what will surely be a positive & memorable experience for everyone involved...
