Your 2013 Alliance Hockey Champions!!!
    The Minor Midgets go undefeated to capture the 2012-13 Alliance championship yesterday after a 6-2 victory over the Waterloo Wolves in game 4. The team swept  the Wolves in 4 games to maintain their winning streak and prevail victorious.

Words from the coaching staff:

"To be ALLIANCE Hockey Champions in the Minor Midget year is a great accomplishment! The team has worked hard and prepared all year to achieve this Goal. As a Coaching Staff, we are happy to be along for the ride on this journey with these fine young men and their families.

The team still has one more Goal to accomplish as the season comes to a close.

   Congratulations boys on the ALLIANCE Championship - we are looking forward to participating in the OHL Cup "

The Minor midgets now travel to Mississauga March 12th – 17th 2013 to challenge 19 of the top minor midget teams in Ontario and the USA.


    The 2013 OHL Showcase Cup tournament takes place March 12-17 and features 20 of the top minor midget teams in Ontario and the USA. The champions and finalists from minor hockey associations in Ontario, including the GTHL, OMHA, ODMHA and ALLIANCE are participating in the tournament. In addition a team from Hockey Northwestern Ontario and the NOHA will compete.

All invited teams are chosen by the Tournament Selection Committee. In the event that a league/association champion or finalist does not take advantage of their qualification, the vacancy will similarly be determined by the Tournament Selection Committee.


The 2013 Ontario Hockey League Showcase for the OHL Cup hosted by the GTHL opens Tuesday March 12 with round robin games continuing throughout the day on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at the Hershey Centre in Mississauga. The playoffs will begin with the Quarter-Finals on Saturday morning with two Semi-Final games Saturday night at the Hershey Centre. The Championship Final will take place at Herb Carnegie Arena in North York.
