Thursday January 3rd, 2013 – When the Minor Peewee Chiefs left for the rink Thursday night it was just another routine practice they were expecting. Even after arriving at the rink and getting their gear on everything seemed to be status quo. However, that would soon change.
With about
15 minutes to ice time, in walked an unexpected visitor, Royalty, a King, a Los
Angeles King to be exact. Drew Doughty,
star defensemen for the Stanley Cup winning Los Angeles Kings stopped by to
spend some time with the players.
While there,
Drew spoke with the team, signed jerseys, cards (provided by Coach Brad), and
took pictures with the players. The players enjoyed every minute and created
memories that will last a lifetime.
The players,
parents and coaching staff, would like to say a very special Thank You to Drew
Doughty for taking the time to come and visit with the team. They would also
like to thank Coach Brad for arranging this.
