Chiefs Have Another Close Game, This Time Stolen by the Cyclones
Chatham came to play the Chiefs last night in another close checking game. Both teams' goalies played well and held the score in tight. Most of the action came in the third period.
There was no scoring in the first period. The second period was won by the Cyclones just in the last minute of the period. The Cyclones scored again in the third to make it 2-0 on a bad bounce causing the puck to change direction. Late in the third, the Chiefs scored on a defensive rush as the goalie's rebound was put into the net. A few shifts later, the Chiefs tied it up at 2-2. This looked like how the game would end but with a handful of seconds left on the clock Chatham got the puck in deep, shot the puck at the net, and got it in on the rebound. The Chiefs lost this one 3-2.
Up next for the Chiefs is a trip to Hamilton for the Bulldogs Tournament this weekend.
