Chiefs tie game in Wheatley
On Friday evening, the Cyclones treated the Chiefs to a lovely autumn drive to Wheatley, Ontario located within the far reaches of Chatham-Kent township. Chatham, always a worthy opponent, scored first with a nice rush up the ice and that's the way it stayed through the first period. The Chiefs came back to tie it in the second period but Chatham again scored to take the lead 2-1. The Chiefs responded with a strong effort to take control of the second half of the game. They created a number of scoring opportunities that the Cyclones goalie fended off until the Chiefs finally jammed one in to tie the game.
The game ended in a 2-2 tie.
The Chiefs are up next on Sunday in Cambridge.
