The Chiefs had a great first tournament outing at the London Junior knights Early Bird Tournament this past weekend, playing some top ranked teams in Ontario.
They got off to a slow start, losing 4-2 to Ajax Pickering. In their second game on Friday, they were leading against Ottawa Silver Seven until, with only 20.8 seonds left, Ottawa managed to tie the game 2-2.
Saturday saw the Chiefs undefeated with a 3-0 shut-out win over the Markham Majors and a 3-2 win over the York Simcoe Express. The Chiefs ended up tied for first place in their grouping with Ottawa but were nudged out by Ottawa who had a better goal average.
