For the next two weeks EMC is offering major midget players an
additional two weeks of pre-season skates (September 14 to September 27)
with the 2020-21 coaches.
Note these skates are available to 2003 and 2004 players residing
in the EMC zone. If you have signed a Junior card you are not eligible to skate
with EMC after September 1.
The next set of skills sessions will be three times per week for
90 minutes. The schedule for the skates is as follows:
Monday, Wednesday at 8:15-9:45 PM
Saturday at 4:45 – 6:15 PM
Spectators are still not allowed in the arena for the sessions and we cannot have parents congregate in the parking lot. If you are waiting in the park lot you need to adhere to physical distancing rules at all times.
Prior to each session players will need to print the self-assessment screening form and complete it and your player will need to hand it in prior to participating. All the same protocols for coming to the arena are still in effect: your player must be dressed prior to entering the arena, arrive no more than 15 minutes ahead of your scheduled ice time, the change rooms are only for putting on and taking off skates and helmets. Masks must be worn into the arena.
The cost of the sessions for players and goalies will be $225 for 6 sessions (2 weeks, consisting of 3 90-minute sessions per week). The cost of the sessions is to cover the ice costs and insurance. We will be accepting e-transfers as payments.
In order for us to finish planning for these sessions please email Janice Sutherland ([email protected]) and inform her if you want your child to participate by Friday, September 11 as the sessions will be starting next week.
