EMC ADDING MAJOR MIDGET TEAM FOR NEXT SEASON
The Elgin Middlesex Chiefs is pleased to announce the addition of an eighth Chiefs team for next season. On Monday, The Minor Hockey Alliance of Ontario awarded EMC a Major Midget AAA team for the 2018-2019 season.  

Thanks to the Midget Application Committee for all of their hard work on the presentation. 


 

“The Elgin Middlesex Chiefs showed a strong and lasting commitment to U18 AAA (Midget) Hockey and to their community within their team hosting proposal.   It will be exciting to see the Chiefs compete for an ALLIANCE Hockey Championship and possibly a Telus Cup berth in the 2018-19 season,” quoted Ray Kosumovic, ALLIANCE Hockey U18 AAA (Midget) Chair.   Note: The Elgin Middlesex Chiefs last hosted a Midget AAA team in the 2005-06 Season. 

The ALLIANCE Hockey Midget AAA League will feature a total of 8 teams playing a 35-game regular season schedule which will kick off with a showcase weekend hosted in Brantford, September 28-30, 2018. With the Cambridge Hawks deciding not to host a Midget AAA team next season, the competing ALLIANCE Hockey League teams will be the Brantford 99ers, Elgin Middlesex Chiefs, Huron Perth Lakers, Kitchener Jr Rangers, Lambton Jr Sting, London Jr Knights, Waterloo Wolves and Windsor Jr Spitfires.
